How is a Gold Buffalo different from a Gold Eagle for selling?+
The Buffalo is pure 24-karat gold, while the Eagle is a 22-karat alloy; both hold one ounce of gold, so both are paid on that ounce at the live spot price. Condition, proof status, and grading affect any premium on either coin.
Do you buy proof and graded Gold Buffalos?+
Yes. Bullion, proof, burnished, and slabbed (NGC/PCGS) Buffalos are all bought here. A graded proof can bring more than its melt value, and we reflect that in the number whenever the market rewards it.
Does the year on my Buffalo change what it's worth?+
