How we price your British silver coins
Royal Mint silver is, first and last, bullion. A Britannia, a Royal Arms, or a coin from the Queen's and Tudor Beasts lines holds an ounce of fine silver — the recent strikes at .9999 — so where the price starts is that ounce set against the day's silver rate. These designs enjoy a wide following, and once in a while that carries a coin beyond its metal.
Once the piece is proven and weighed, the live rate is applied to its silver and the total is put in front of you. Bullion sits near that mark; larger multi-ounce coins, the more collected Beasts, and proof or holdered pieces may ask a premium, which we allow where buyers are genuinely there. Your money is settled before you step out, none of it posted.
What to bring and what to expect
Keep the coins as they arrived — bare, tubed, in wallets, or in Royal Mint cases — and rest any certificates or slabs beside them. Sellers show government-issued photo ID before we pay.
